In March 2024, WENSHING launched the 62GHz Radar Sensor (Model: WS-RADAR62GBY). This product utilizes 62GHz millimeter-wave radar technology, a type of microwave sensor known for its high transmission rate, large data capacity, and low latency. It offers high precision, long-range detection up to 25 meters, and strong anti-interference capabilities, enabling accurate measurement of object distances.
This product WS-RADAR62GBY also comes with an App that allows users to set the desired sensing distance via their mobile phones and displays the current measured distance within the App.

Garbage Collection Station Roll-up Door Sensor
The 62GHz Radar Sensor WS-RADAR62GBY is installed at the garbage collection station to detect whether the roll-up door should open or close. The detection range is set to a height above the ground that matches the height of the garbage truck, for example, 2 meters. Since the average adult height does not exceed 2 meters, the door will not automatically open when a person walks by. The door will only open when an object higher than 2 meters above the ground is detected.
Working Principle
The 62GHz Radar Sensor WS-RADAR62GBY utilizes microwave reflection properties to measure distance. The sensor emits microwave pulses and receives the reflected pulses. By calculating the round-trip time of the pulses, the distance can be determined.
Millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar provides various functions, such as monitoring multiple areas to locate presence and tracking the movement within each area.

Installation Guide
The 62GHz Radar Sensor WS-RADAR62GBY should be installed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.
The distance between the sensor and the object being measured should be within 25 meters.
Avoid installing the sensor in environments with metallic objects or electromagnetic interference in front of it.
