WENSHING launched a 62GHz millimeter-wave industrial radar sensor (model: WS-RADAR62GBY) in March 2024. This product uses 62GHz millimeter-wave technology, which is a non-contact sensor that emphasizes high transmission rates, large data volumes, and low latency. It features high precision, long range, and strong anti-interference capabilities, capable of accurately measuring the distance, speed, and angle of objects.

The 62GHz Radar Detector is suitable for precise sensing of various people or objects, measuring distance, speed, and angle. Applications include automatic doors, motion detectors, industrial sensors for measuring distance, speed, and angle, radar for liquid tank level detection, displacement sensing, traffic monitoring, proximity sensing, safety and surveillance, factory automation safety devices, liquid level transmitters, electric bicycles, parking lot barriers, off-road vehicle sensors, kick-scooter electric pedals, item counters, material inspection, cement height detection, and electric charging station parking detection, etc.
Garbage Collection Station Roll-up Door Sensor
62GHz Radar Detector is installed at the garbage collection station to detect whether the roll-up door should open or close. The detection range is set to a height above the ground that matches the height of the garbage truck, for example, 2 meters. Since the average adult height does not exceed 2 meters, the door will not automatically open when a person walks by. The door will only open when an object higher than 2 meters above the ground is detected.
Working Principle
The 62GHz millimeter-wave radar sensor utilizes microwave reflection properties to measure distance. The sensor emits microwave pulses and receives the reflected pulses. By calculating the round-trip time of the pulses, the distance can be determined.
Millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar provides various functions, such as monitoring multiple areas to locate presence and tracking the movement within each area.

Installation Guide
The 62GHz Radar Detector should be installed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation.
The distance between the sensor and the object being measured should be within 25 meters.
Avoid installing the sensor in environments with metallic objects or electromagnetic interference in front of it.
